Alvin and the Chipmunks :The Road Chip

Alvin and the Chipmunks has always been a classic Christmas movie for me, where 3 talking and singing chipmunks create a family with caring and some-time stressed Dave. There has been many sequels to the movie that always comes out by Christmas time. The newest one, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) are still the three troublesome chipmunks they always have been. Dave, their ‘dad’, Jason Lee, still doesn’t believe they’ve matured after the movie starts off with a party that gets out of hand that the boys throw for Dave. This time the movie introduces two new characters, Dave’s new girlfriend, Jessica Ahlberg, and her son Miles, (Josh Green). This adds some more mischief to the movie with another deceitful kid adding onto the trouble the boys get into. What’s a movie without a villain? The bad guy in the last three movies Ian, David Cross, is now a friend. An Air Marshal that bans the four boys from flying, Benson (Tony Hale) is after them throughout the movie. The boys must get from Los Angeles to Miami to stop Dave from starting a new family without them. And of course the infamous Alvin yell is heard in the movie. There is singing throughout the film, of course. They sing great hits like Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars.
The movie is funny and will make you laugh. I’m 17 and I was laughing the whole time. It’s great for a family movie night! Director Walt Baker makes a great film. Don’t miss out on this one!
